Welcome

Welcome to the 2020 Rogers Otsego Youth Baseball Registration.

The Rogers - Otsego Youth Baseball Association’s mission is to promote the following goals:

  • Help youth in the community develop positive attitudes about self-esteem, sportsmanship and team play
  • Have fun while learning to play competitive baseball
  • Field teams that are competitive at the level in which they are placed

Please see http://www.royba.org  for complete information about all leagues and policies.

Successful Registration:  At the completion of the registration process you will receive a receipt email noting that you have successfully registered your player(s). Please retain that receipt in case any issues ever arise regarding your registration.

Late Fees:  There is a $25.00 late fee that will be automatically added to all Travel and 4th-9th Grade registrations entered after March 17th, 2020. The cutoff date for Minors (K-1st) and Majors (2nd-3rd) leagues is March 31, 2020 and the cutoff for the 10th -12th Grade League is April 30, 2020.

Scholarship / Hardships:  Rogers - Otsego Youth Baseball has scholarships available to families in need.  To learn more, go to the Registration > Scholarship page.

Travel Player Information:   Whatever age a player is on April 30th of the current year will be their age for the current year's travel season.  All players trying out for a travel team are required to attend 2 tryout sessions which are shown on our web-site.   Travel players will have to be fitted for their uniform PRIOR to tryouts. There will be 4 uniform fittings from which you can choose before tryouts. See Registration Page for more details.

9th-12th Grade League, Legion Teams and VFW Teams:   Rogers HS players currently in Grade 9 can register here to play 15U house or travel depending on skill level determined by coaches and ROYBA board. All players interested in playing 15U travel must attend tryouts scheduled for March 28th & 29th. Exact time for 15U evaluation will be posted on website once times are finalized. 10th-12th can register here to play on a Rogers 10th-12th Grade League team which plays in the Gopher State AA League. Legion and VFW teams are not affiliated or administered by Rogers - Otsego Baseball. Please contact the Rogers HS Varsity Baseball Coach if you are interested in playing on a Legion or VFW Team.

Minors League (K & 1st Grade):  There are no player evaluations and the league Commissioner selects teams based on community, address and school they attend.  Please denote the community for which you wish to play when registering. You will have an opportunity to make team requests during the registration process. Every attempt will be made to accommodate all requests, but some requests may not be filled if specific teams are already full.  All requests will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. No consideration will be given to requests made after March 31, 2020.

House Player Evaluations: All 2nd – 9th grade league players must attend the League Evaluations. Please see the website for up to date information as well as dates, times and locations of the evaluations.  For the 10-12th grade league, coaches will form teams based on the players who have signed up.  No evaluations will be held.

Volunteers:   All parents will be expected to volunteer a small amount of time to help with various duties throughout the season. Please Note: We no longer staff the NCP concession stands, so weekday DIBs sessions will be scarce to non-existent. Please plan ahead accordingly!

Some weekends with major events that will require a large number of DIBs participants include:

June 18-21: Rockin' Rogers Days
July 10-12: 11AA GSTC State Tournament @ NCP
August 21st 2020 ROYBA Golf Tournament
Look for Dibs Sessions as early as February

Of course, these are not the only dates we need help, but these are the 3 weekends with the most need.
